Preclinical studies in animal models have demonstrated the in vivo efficacy of MIDV-679. In a HIV-1-infected mouse model, MIDV-679 reduced viral loads by up to 3 logs, comparable to existing antiretroviral agents. Furthermore, MIDV-679 showed a favorable pharmacokinetic profile, with good oral bioavailability and a long half-life. MIDV-679
